One of my favorite revision strategies was the peer review. Being able to sit down in real time and receive the review in person made it very easy to revise. Having fellow peers go over the essays provided a complete new perspective to my writing process. My entire education career has been just writing the assignment and turning it into the teacher. With the peer review it allows a true understanding or someone who is working on the same project. The peers comments always vary and are always completely different from the teachers final marks. This revision strategy has helped advance my essay for every assignment so far this year. Along with receiving the peers comments and constructive criticism, having the opportunity to read fellow peers essays has helped me along with the revision process. Reading two or three different essays really opens up a brand new perspective to their own custom ideas. Seeing where they’re coming from and the evidence they bring to the table has helped my own paper. Not stealing their thoughts directly, often reading a peers paper provides ideas for myself to further advance my own assignment. One revision strategy that i will use outside this class and hopefully for the future of all my remaining papers is the following. I really like the idea of getting all my thoughts on the paper immediately and having the required word count from the jump. It’ll be a lot easier in the future if i follow this technique. Having plenty of information and cutting it down to the exact specification for the final draft.
